Abstract
A 51 year old man presented with the decreased and not recovered vision of right eye for 15 days. Fundoscopic examination shows the subretinal hemorrhage and radiating grayish lines that surround the optic disc and peripheral ¡¯Peau d¡¯orange. It¡¯s the sign of the angioid streaks. Dermatological examination revealed that erythematous papules are located in the neck and axilla. The fluorescein angiography and skin biopsy were performed. That showed the hyperfluorecein consisted with grayish lines. The result of the skin biopsy was pseudoxanthoma elasticum. Therefore, the diagnosis was Gro¡§nblad-Strandberg syndrome. Careful systemic reviews for the patients with Gro¡§nblad-Strandberg syndrome should be performed to find possible complications, because it could cause the systemic degeneration of elastic fiber. We performed detail systemic reviews to reveal the possible systemic complicatios and came to realize that it was the gastric ulcer bleeding by upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. We report a case of angioid streaks with asymptomatic gastric ulcer bleeding identified by systemic reviews.
